Caludon Castle School Leads the Way!

Mary Creagh MP with Staff and Students from Caludon Castle School

Mary visited Caludon Castle secondary school to talk with Headteacher Sue Kenrick and her students, some of whom had visited the Houses of Parliament in February. Their focus as a leadership specialist school was evident. They have a house system and student candidates are interviewed for leadership roles. They hold a yearly conference and were looking forward to their upcoming sports and culture day. Student librarians and literary ambassadors for the school talked about the importance of reading. Mary was quizzed by A-Level politics students about my job, what goes on in Westminster and what the Prime Minister is like. The school motto ‘Respect to all, from all’ would be a good one to remember in Westminster!
