Minister Creagh in Manchester for IPBES12

Mary Creagh MP at IPBES12, Manchester

Mary Creagh MP, Minister for Nature, attended the IPBES12 event in Manchester this week.

Whilst there, Minister Creagh gave a lecture titled ‘Nature at the Heart of Economic Resilience’, sponsored by Aviva. Minister Creagh spoke about the role that nature plays in creating a lasting and growing economy, and how that role should be encouraged.

She also visited the Suez Renew Hub - a project that “aims to reclaim the value of household items through repair and upcycling, moving items up the waste hierarchy from disposal to re-use.”

Whilst in Manchester, she canvassed with Emma Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Labour Party candidate for the Gorton-and-Denton byelection, Angeliki Stogia.
