Coventry Teacher Visits Parliament for Ambassador Programme

Mary Creagh MP welcomed Melissa Moynihan to Parliament today.

Melissa teaches at Stretton Church of England Academy in Willenhall, Coventry East. She was selected to join the UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador programme - a three-day course which develops knowledge about Parliament, and empowers teachers to discuss politics in greater detail with their students.

Melissa and several students from her school were invited to Parliament last summer. They were inspired by this visit, and have since founded a school council and school parliament.

Mary will meet with Melissa and her students again later this year to discuss ideas for the £20 million Pride in Place funding coming to Willenhall.
