Wildlife Business Forum attended by Mary Creagh MP

Mary Creagh MP at the United for Wildlife Forum

Nature Minister Mary Creagh MP attended the United for Wildlife forum, organised by The Royal Foundation as part of London Climate Action Week. The forum, led by the Prince of Wales, focused on the role of private sector in addressing illegal wildlife trade and environmental crime.

The event marked 10 years on from Buckingham Palace Declaration, a commitment to strengthening defences against wildlife trafficking, signed by global transport industry leaders.

The Labour government is committed to combating illegal wildlife trade and environmental crime. UK Border Force works to dismantle criminal smuggling networks and tackle wildlife crime, which is worth up to £17 billion a year globally.

And reintroduction of animal species like beavers and eagles, helps to protect the UK’s environment and wildlife for future generations.
