Moat House Primary Welcomes Mary Creagh MP

Mary Creagh MP with the primary school students of Moat House School

Last Friday, Mary Creagh MP visited Moat House Primary School in her constituency of Coventry East.

The students were very excited to meet a Member of Parliament, and had prepared a whole sheet of questions to ask.

Mary Creagh MP answered questions like “What does an MP do?”, “What do you like about being an MP?”, and “Do you wear special clothes?”. The Q&A was slightly derailed when Mary discussed releasing beavers back into the wild as Minister for Nature, with many of the children excited about the small mammal.

Mary also listened to a report from the Year Six School Council, and was pleased to hear about the changes they had made to their school, such as implementing a litter-picking ‘clean team’, leading on consultation for a new school menu, and raising over £600 for MacMillan Cancer Support.
