Minister Mary Creagh spoke at a Westminster Hall Debate today. The March 3rd debate was focused on environmental protections and biodiversity.
Minister Creagh answered questions on a range of issues from biodiversity net gain, nature recovery strategies, landscape and species recovery, and tree planting. Minister Creagh highlighted the role that Defra’s 2025 Environmental Improvement Plan will play in restoring nature, improving environmental quality, building a circular economy, making nature more accessible and accelerating progress towards Environment Act targets.
In response to Anna Gelderd MP’s mention of the Cornish black bee, Mary Creagh spoke about the upcoming Bees Needs Week and encouraged citizens and groups to get involved.
