Around 100 people attend my Coombe Park coffee morning

Mary istens to constituents’ concerns about crime and community policing at the first coffee morning of the year

A chilly Saturday morning didn’t deter around 100 people coming to Coombe Social Club to share their concerns about crime and local policing. I was joined by Councillor Angela Hopkins and police officers from the West Midlands force, who discuss local issues that people are worried about. Making our streets safer by cracking down on antisocial behaviour and boosting community policing is one of this Labour government’s five core missions.

I’m determined that my constituents’ concerns are heard, and that action is taken to make our streets safer. By tackling criminals and challenging anti-social behaviour we can build trust and pride across our Coventry community. I’m grateful that so many people gave their time to join us, it just shows how important this issue is to everyone, and why we this Labour government is making it a priority.
