Coventry Ramblers Walk Westminster Corridors

Mary Creagh MP with 50 Coventry Ramblers in Westminster

Mary welcomed a group of Coventry Ramblers to Parliament at the start of the new session.

The event was organised by Angela Whelan a retired headteacher and keen rambler who had taught Mary at Bishop Ullathorne School many years ago.

The Coventry Ramblers are used to walking in the Midlands countryside, but they came to London to walk around the Palace of Westminster and visited the Commons’ and Lords’ chambers and Parliament’s very own chapel, St Mary’s Undercroft.

This was followed by a wide-ranging conversation about the work the Labour government is doing in Coventry, as well as debate on national and international issues.

If you would like Mary to arrange a free tour of Big Ben (usually £35) or come as a large or small group for a tour of Parliament, and maybe even watch Prime Ministers’ Questions from the gallery, email her at mary@marycreagh.co.uk.
