Mary welcomes Wildcats Super League news
Wakefield MP Mary Creagh has sent her congratulations to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats following the news on 26 July that the club will retain its Super League licence for a further 3 years.
She said ""This is fantastic news for Trinity Wildcats and fantastic news for Wakefield. It means Wakefield ,a city with a great rugby league heritage, will stay where it belongs - in the top flight.
"I'd like to congratulate Andrew Glover, James Elston and all their staff for the remarkable hard work and commitment they've given to ensuring the Wildcats' continued Super League status.
"This has been a challenging period for the club, but hopefully now they can build on this good news and give all us fans plenty to cheer about on the pitch over the next few seasons."
