Mary backs "Give a Day's Pay" campaign

Wakefield MP Mary Creagh signed up to support the Independent on Sunday's "Give a Day's Pay" appeal on 7th August.

Along with thousands of IoS readers, Mary has pledged a day's pay to the Disasters Emergency Commitee's East Africa crisis appeal. More than 12 million people are at risk of dying from hunger in East Africa as a result of the worst drought in 60 years.

Two million children under the age of five are malnourished and 500,000 are severely malnourished.
