Mary Launches Wakefield's "Green Plug"

Wakefield MP and Shadow Environment Secretary, Mary Creagh, visited Wakefield based research and development company, Logicor, on Friday 14th January. Mary was invited by Logicor Director, David Bowen, to launch the company’s innovative “Green Plug” - a device which can reduce household energy bills by as much as 41%.
During her visit, Mary recognised the burden that rising energy and fuel costs have placed on people in Wakefield, and highlighted the role of innovative British companies like Logicor to the future of energy efficiency.
Mary said "Saving energy and cutting waste are important objectives for all households, particularly with rising fuel bills. Households can waste up to £365 a year by leaving electrical appliances switched on or on standby overnight. This is a great example of an innovative British company providing a practical solution to an environmental problem."
